giik reformed

What does that mean?

A geek is a person with a passion for something. We often associate them with computers, but I interpret the word (which could also describe someone performing bizarre acts) with that singularly focused mindset.

But I have a bit of a warped focus. So the pages are broken into my roles, but my focus is threaded throughout the entire site. I am not a writer, but I reflect a lot - especially while I mow the lawn. So here are my thoughts on all things bright and beautiful. :-)

If you are a guest, wow - how did you find this?

What's up top...

If you browse the site you'll notice that I have links to several things.
1. The LCS Call Board. LCS is Lansing Christian School, Lansing, MI. I used to work there (as a third grade teacher, then as a Kindergarten teacher) and I really loved it. But, alas, my heart was in the world of Educational Technology, and there wasn't much opportunity to pursue that at LCS. I stay in touch, and will be directing their production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
2. Husband and Father are links to blogs about my roles in this world. I am not a very prolific writer, so these don't get updated very often...
3. Teacher is a page I occasionally use in teaching the Educational Technology Certificate Program for Michigan State University. I like to show them this site, but only after I teach them the hard way to build web sites (maniacal laugh...).
So, enjoy the site, and send me a note if you have questions.
:-)
